David Beard's Somewhat Strangely Varied Website
The
Buckinghamshire
Then and now.....
I haven’t lived in Chilton since I
married in 1973, but I have never left the place, really……so I
thought I would include a few pages on my website dedicated to the village in
which I grew up. My grandfather was the village blacksmith, arriving from Brill
in 1922, bringing with him my mother, who was two years old. She has now lived
in the village longer than anyone, I’m pretty certain.
These pages will include a number taken
over the years, showing how things have changed…or frequently how they
have barely changed at all. The photos are all mine, unless stated otherwise.
Please keep coming back and checking: I hope to add more on a regular basis.
Perhaps anyone with interesting Chilton snaps from the past would like to send
them to me for inclusion, too, along with any memories.
