The village of Chilton, Buckinghamshire
Then and now.....

Page Five- Along the Front….

The “White Gates”, leading to Chilton House, along the private road we always referred to as “Along the Front”. This is in the early seventies…the gates are a little wider now.

Chilton House never changes, except a little at Christmas….

I’m told one of my blacksmith ancestors (perhaps Great Grandfather Boyles, who was based at Wotton Underwood) helped make this ironwork.

The “Horse Pond” and its surroundings used to be a mess.

But it has all been cleaned up and looks great these days.
